Recent advances in geometric measure theory and minimal surface regularity

报告摘要：Geometric measure theory allows one to study existence and regularity problems in geometric variational problems, such as minimal surfaces. These objects have had in turn successful applications in geometry, such as Schoen—Yau’s celebrated proof of the positive mass theorem.
In the last years, there have been interesting developments in several directions concerning the regularity of minimal surfaces. I will give an overview of some of the developments which I have been closest to, including the regularity of stable minimal hypersurfaces and area-minimising currents.
