内容简介：How to understand geometrically the main features of the action of a transformation and its iterates, or of the behavior of the solutions of a differential equation ?
At the end of 19th century, in his thesis, Poincare introduces the notion of “normal form”, that is the form taken by the map or the differential equation in a system of coordinates which reveals as much as possible of its qualitative behavior.
We shall consider this notion in one of its simplest occurrences, already very rich, the study of a local analytic diffeomorphism of the plane around an elliptic fixed point.
